Sounds logical never had the carb of yet. Our fuel pipe crack and was leaking fuel. A replacement carb is fairly cheap if you don't want to fiddle to much

Hi Nelgra,
Thanks for that, pipe was ok though and after finally getting the carb off it turned out to be the float needle valve was stuck shut. The bike has been stood for a long time! I have noticed that the pipes to the EGR are starting to crack. Got the carb back on and now it will start but will only tick over so I suspect there is still a blocked jet or the diaphragm needs replacing.
BTW is it just me or do others have to remove the sub frame and air box to get the carb off?

Cheers,

DG

Before u touch the carb replace the fuel pipe to it from the tank. The oem tube is rubbish it cracks, deforms on 2-3yr old bike. U can buy replacement pipe of ebay just measure the tube diameter accurately. Second make sure ur tank breather isnt blocked. replacement tube is petrol grade clear.

Hi all, already posted this on another thread but thought it might get more replies on a new thread...

Does anyone here know why my sons 2012 MRT PRO doesn't seem to allow fuel into the carb (float bowl seems empty even though fuel is coming through the fuel pipe) and any tips for removing the carb would be much appreciated as it looks like a big job.
Cheers,
DG

Car driver coming downhill opposite direction turned right and didnt see Ed who went over the bars at 30mph. Bikes a write off but main damage is forks snapped, front wheel bent, front wheel spindle bent, bottom yoke bent. Any one got a second hand front end? 3rd part and the car driver insurance LV are not admiting liability yet. Ed lucky to be alive.

It's a keihin 30mm carb. You can block the exhaust EGR valve unplug the cdi rev ristiction and remove the air box plate and you will get 5hp gain

My bike has no headlight no indicators no rearlight no horn and engine works fine. I've checked my fuse replaced relay 33 checked relay 40 and 20 which has no continuity. I think that may be the last fault but if you have any other theory's please let me know.
