Moped wont start, ignition broken
« on: September 08, 2017, 12:19:43 PM »
Hello!
Had trouble with the ignition of my Rieju MRT (key did not twist) so I disassembled and turned the ignition on to the position and started. The bike started and everything was good and then I stopped it and tried to start it again, no luck. Occasionally there was a very loud sound as if the exhaust was shot out quickly by pots followed by a very burned smell.
I removed the restrictor in the exhaust yesterday and installed bigger nozzle (ran a whole day without problems). It also gets spark.
Is it getting too little gas? Does the ignition have anything to do with the timing of the spark?
Help is appreciated ;)

In a word No, the ignition just powers it all up or alows it all to be powered,
it doesn't control anything,  backfire can be caused my excess fuel
