Hello! New (to me) MRT 125/200
« on: November 21, 2017, 12:10:23 PM »
Thought I'd say hello. I've just bought (quite cheaply) an MRT 125 well it's regd as a 125 but was a 200 from new. It's succumbed to a bit of over revving and the con rod has let go and made a bid for freedom through the crankcase. I have sourced a replacement 200 engine but for reliability i'm fitting a 150cc Yamaha top end from Malaysia. I was informed that the Malossi 183cc kit that Rieju fitted at the factory are suspect for reliability which is why I'm going 150cc.
Next I'd like to find a pair of endure wheels as mine is a SM.
anyone knowing of a pair I'd be interested
Thanks

If you use FB there are some more active groups on there. 'Rieju riders Worldwide' is one, there are others.

after a bit of faffing this week bike is finally finished and I rode it yesterday, it's actually quite good.
the delay was caused by finding a decent handful of beach sand in the fuel tank!!!
